The Parent Payment System (PPS) is a user-friendly platform that allows you to make direct payments for your child’s ICAS assessments. To access it, your school must first register for PPS and then provide you with the necessary login details. Find more information on PPS here, or get a simple step-by-step guide on how to use PPS. Your child’s school will provide a unique access code along with instructions for participating in ICAS through the Parent Payment System. Please note that it is up to the school to decide which ICAS subjects and year levels are offered Link to Shop page

The closing date for parents to book ICAS tests via the Parent Payment System is set by the school. However, the 'Close Parent Ordering' date on the assessments (Test Format) is the final possible date to book through the system. If your child is sitting ICAS at school, the school will manage the entire process, including distributing printed results once received. You can view your child’s results on the back of their ICAS certificate and online via the Student Results Portal, using the login details printed on the back of any current or past certificate.
Yes, your child may sit the ICAS test at a higher year level than their current enrolment. Please note that all reports and certificates will reflect the selected higher year level.

To access all interactive features of 2019 and 2020 past papers—including instant marking, online completion, and unlimited re-sits—you must open them in Adobe Acrobat Reader. A free version is available for download [here]. 2021 past papers are hosted online and accessed via your web browser, so all interactive features will function automatically."

"The locked-down browser app, (Janison Replay) , is designed to prevent your child from accessing other applications—such as web pages, cameras, spell check, screenshots, and keyboard shortcuts—during the live assessment. Spelling Bee and Writing require the locked-down browser application.

PStudents need headphones and/or earphones to complete Spelling Bee. Advisable to bring you own in-spite of some may headphones will be made available as a back up.
The supervising teacher will allocate additional test time to students who experience issues on the day of the assessment.

"Each child receives a unique one-time code to access their test, which is used in combination with a test session code created by the teacher on the day of the assessment. Students can only begin once the teacher starts the session, and they are monitored throughout via the 'Supervise Live Test' feature in the Assessments Portal
Unfortunately, your child can only complete ICAS in the specific sitting window for their subject.

Award boundaries in ICAS tests are approximate, so the percentage distribution of students may not align exactly with specific scores. For example, in a Mathematics test with 40 questions, 0.8% of students might score 35 or above, while 2% score 34 or above. In this case, the top 1%—eligible for a High Distinction—would correspond to a score of 34.

Unfortunately, we do not offer an alternative sitting windows at this point.
Yes, Chromebooks must be running as Managed Devices in Kiosk mode, which allows the locked-down browser application to run correctly. Your child's teacher can help them to get everything set up and ready.

If your child needs to stop the exam, their teacher will postpone the test. When they return, they will be able to use the same one time code and complete the test on another day.
Unfortunately, ICAS exams must be taken at your child’s registered school and cannot be completed elsewhere.
Using working-out paper is permitted under ICAS assessment rules; however, its use is ultimately at the discretion of the supervising teacher. Child is not permitted to bring any paper into the test room.
Your child is allowed blank paper provided by the school, and pencils / pens for working out. They are not allowed dictionaries, mobile phones, or any other electronic devices.
